Synchronicity is a curious butterfly, even on the internet. ‘Mandala’ came to mind already this morning reading a young American writer / healer making her way in Ireland. She is explaining her logo and the linked internal meanings as she expresses them. I must ask her about mandalas. She combines her nested circles with the dynamic of a Celtic knot: the colours are rightly symbolic. It was a while ago when our youngest came back from India impressed with the renewable mandalas created with coloured sands at the front doors of village homes: representations of welcome and protection having a two-way connection with the ground and place. The history of this form is profound. It looks like you have yourself a ritual year, with a good kind of liturgy?

Thanks so much for writing, Philip, and how wonderful that mandalas were already on your mind when this arrived. I don't know enough yet about the use of mandalas in India, however, I love the idea of creating something to sit at the threshold of homes, villages, forest edges. I sense it will be an interesting exploration discovering more about them and I hope to share more of that here. And you have me wondering about the notion of a ritual year, I think you may be on to something very nourishing there! Really appreciate you commenting. Will

Thanks Emma! What I found moving, and with a little sadness actually, is that I have not spent nearly enough time in nature this year, caught up I suppose on the hamster wheel of creating this new path, and I appreciate you noticing that energy which I sense is partly nature flowing through me. At least that's how I felt these last days.

I guess at least because you have had this realisation you'll be able to create a balance of embracing natures gifts much more as you journey onwards.

Widening circles mate... the idea continues to unravel me in the best possible way! Blessings to you. By the way, I believe my next poet to delve into will be Don Domanski, are you familiar with him, he sounds like a fairly well known Canadian poet/writer?
